[Matthew 14:22-27 KJV] “And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.”
“And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone. But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.”
“And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.“
There is power in personal private prayer; after Jesus had said goodbye to everyone, He gets alone to pray! He went into the mountains alone and there He prayed. He went into prayer after a powerful revival. If we will learn how to get alone with God and pray; we will begin to do far better in business, ministry, and marriage.
I know that life can get very busy most times but there are two key times you can spend time alone with God; in the first thing in the mornings and the last thing before retiring to bed. You can have a great time with God when all the television is off and men have retired to bed. Our Lord Jesus spent the last hours in prayers and walked in great dominion over nature.
Try and find time daily to pray alone; come into His presence with boldness and expectation to recieve; come with a book and pen to take notes; come with a watch to keep track of time; and come with a prayer list or words. Inasmuch as I believe that the Holy Spirit helps out infirmities and helps us to pray; you are able to pray better when you come prepared and planned.
Let us remember that life is more spiritual than physical; hence praying alone puts you in charge of the situation. In prayer we both speak to God and to our mountains. When you stand in prayer petition God, let your request be made known to Him, thank Him for His mercies and grace; but don’t forget to speak to your mountain to be removed! You have the faith that moves mountains!
May you be ushered into the realms of power! May you experience the power of God! May God empower you over all life situations! Recieve the grace to walk over nature and advance without fear in the mighty name of Jesus Christ!
