[Ecclesiastes 9:11 KJV]: “I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.”
Yesterday’s grace is not enough for today’s challenges and demands; hence the need to upgrade daily and from time to time.
If you refuse to upgrade, you soon become obsolete! Life is dynamic, and we must constantly be upgrading to match up with the changing trends and demands that come with it.
We are, however, not afraid because the steadfast love of God never ceases; His faithfulness never ends; His mercies are new every morning!
[Lamentations 3:22-25 KJV]: “It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: Great is Thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; Therefore will I hope in Him. The LORD is good unto them that wait for Him, To the soul that seeketh Him.”
We can always count on the LORD’s faithfulness. Beyond the new mercies the Lord shows us every morning; He also ushers us into new dimensions from time to time. One of such times is today!
[Isaiah 43:19 KJV]: “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”
To step into the new dimensions, however, require certain things. New dimensions require:
New revelations and illuminations or understanding
The foundations to stepping into new dimensions are new revelations, illuminations, and understanding. You will never know the new dimensions except by new revelation and illumination. You can never aspire for what you don’t know. You must come to that point when you envisage that there could be more. That is why the prophetic is so important! It ushers us into new realms of knowing and revelation.
[Isaiah 42:9-10 KJV]: “Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and His praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.”
Singing new songs and making fresh declarations
[Isaiah 42:9-10 KJV]: “Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and His praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.”
The scriptures encourage us to sing and admonish each other by the lyrics.
New spiritual adventures and exercises
The prophetic Ezekiel saw new dimensions after he went on a deeper spiritual journey. He traveled 4000 cubits in the spirit to deeper depths, and when he returned, his visions and understanding changed. He returned with a revelation on healing. We must strive to fast and pray from time to time.
[Ezekiel 47:1-9 KJV]: “Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar. Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side. And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins. Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over. And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen this? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the river. Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other. Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed. And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.”
Remember, when some apostles, teachers, and prophets gathered to pray and minister to the Lord, they received a new dimension of Ministry. Paul and Silas were commissioned to reach the Gentiles.
[Acts 13:1-3 KJV]: “Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.”
A new you
[Mark 2:22 KJV]: “And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.”
New actions
Sometimes you must attempt great things for God if you want to walk in new dimensions.
[Deuteronomy 1:6-8 KJV]: “The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount: turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Euphrates. Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them.”
