1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV — “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord“
The beauty about serving and abounding in the work of the Lord is that nothing you do for God or because will ever be in vain. God is a rewarder and he will never forget your labour of love, and the things which you have done, and continue do for his name sake.
Hebrews 6:9-12 KJV — “But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak. [10] For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.”
[11] “And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: [12] that ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.“
When you serve the Lord, and always abound in the work of the Lord, you can expect the following;
Blessings: He will bless your bread and your water.
Serving the Lord brings blessings upon your bread and water
Divine health: He will take sicknesses away from your midst
Exodus 23:24-30 KJV — “Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images. [25] And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.”
[26] “There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil. [27] I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.”
[28] “And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee. [29] I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee. [30] By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land.“
Fruitfulness: None shall miscarry their young nor be barren
Victory in battles: Your enemies shall turn their back in flight on battle
Supernatural supply: The Lord shall add unto you all that the world is running after.
