Matthew 26:41 KJV — “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak“
In your quest to be fruitful, there are certain factors that must work together for you. Your environment (fruitful hill), your life, your heart, your circle, your strategy and tools, your effort, your seeds, and your atmosphere.
Isaiah 5:1-2 KJV — “Now will I sing to my wellbeloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My wellbeloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill: [2] and he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes“
There are three types of fuitfulness that must manifest in your life
- The fruits of your effort: Every effort you put in life must yield some results. Your effort must produce fruits; if your effort dies not yield fruits it’s a sign of barrenness. I speak over your life that your efforts must yield fruits in the name of Jesus!
- The fruits of the word you feed on: “Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes out of the mouth of God“. There are times, however, when people feed on spiritual junk food. Many are spiritually sick because they feed on the devil‘s junk and useless chatter! Remember that any word you allow into your life is either a seed or moisture to water a seed. If you feed on nonesense, you will have a nonesense life; if you feed on fear, you will have a timid life; if you feed on the word of God, you will have a faith-filled life; if your feed on the word of faith, you will have a miracle and spirit-filled life. (See Romans 10:17, Galatians 3:5)
- The fruits of the contribution of others people’s effort to your life: This is the third type of fruit you bear, the harvest is the result of others people’s contribution to your life (See Hebrews 6:7-8). For example, when you are going to school; you are the one studying and you must seen results; but both those paying your fees and those teaching you also have fruits they expect. I pray that you will bring forth the expected fruits. Sometimes, there are inputs you need from others to make you fruitful.
The Lord destined you to be fruitful in these areas of your life. There are three types of grounds in every man’s life: your environment, your circle, your heart; and as you push to be fruitful there are things in these environments that will try to work against you. These are thorns and they fall in three categories.
There are special categories of thorns that grow in each grounds of your life.
- Thorns like persecutions, reproaches, neccessities, infirmities, and distresses can spring up in your enivroment to frustrate you!
- Thorns like strange children of belial can grown in your circle to trouble you. These thorns may spring up through being unequally yoked with unbelievers (See Number 33:55)
- Thorns like pride of life, lust of other things, deceitfulness of riches, cares of life and anxiety can also grow in your heart to choke the word of God to keep you from bearing fruits.
These thorns try to fight your seed; the input of others , the positive words you feed on, your connection and relationship with others. There are people that come into your life are seeds; whose relationship must be nurtured because your next level depends on it.
I decree that any thorns projected against you to fight your progress be rebuked in the name of Jesus!
