Revelation 12:7-11 KJV — “And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, [8] and prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. [9] And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.“
[10] “And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. [11] And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.“
We all fight one thing or the other at certain points in our lives. Often, what we confront is more spiritual than social or natural. It is important to understand that there are different ways of fighting different types of devils; but if what you are faced with is spiritual, then there is a way to deal with it.
The Bible tells us how Michael and his host dealt with the same dragon in revelation; and they overcame him by 3 weapons;
- The blood of the lamb
- The word of their testimony
- A resolution to fight until there is a breakthrough
The first step to overcome any spiritual entity that is fighting you is to proclaim the benefits of the blood
The Bible says “let the redeemed of the Lord say” so. You must assure yourself and proclaim to the spirit entities that you are Redeemed, Cleansed, Forgiven, Justified (Righteous), Sanctified (Holy) by the blood of Jesus Christ. It’s important to assure yourself of possesses and benefiting from these FIVE BENEFITS of the blood of Jesus Christ that was shed at Calvary! You must announce that the blood of Jesus has redeemed, cleansed, forgiven, justified, and sanctified you; you cannot live under a curse nor be afflicted. You are coming out of every oppression in Jesus name!
Then you proceed to testify as a weapon of war
We almost always quote this scripture, but today, we want to explore EIGHT TYPES of testimonies that will teach others and deliver victory. Often, the default reaction to problems is to murmur. It’s important to understand that murmuring is a set-up. Murmuring will expose you to the destroyer. Murmuring is a seed for disloyalty and bitterness. We must testify of goodness instead of murmuring. You will overcome by your testimony! You will win over evil. You will overcome!
- Testify of scriptures that have worked for you and scriptures you are trusting God to work for you.
- Testify of how your encounter with the word has changed and affected your life.
- Testify of how you or someone received miracles in the past.
- Testify of how you got saved as Apostle Paul always told of his conversion
- Testify of how your pastor is imparting your life
- Testify of how you survived a difficult time by grace and wisdom
- Testify of how your church has changed or impacted your life
- Testify of how the Lord delivered you in the mission or from danger. It’s great to pray but you must also speak of his goodness and mercies.
The third and final level is to resolve that you are fighting to the end
You are not backing down at all. The devil’s strategy is to make you give up and give in. You will not give up or give in. The devil is a loser but a bad loser; even in defeat, he hardly gives up. You must be vigilant and consistent. You should not allow him to wear you down. You must stand and fight till you have completely finished him.
This is the time and now is the season, you must win. You should allow anything to stop you. You should fight and fight till you win. Receive grace to finish!
Stay blessed
