If you really want to arise above all the challenges and difficulty in this life, engage these types of prayers:
Fellowshiping and Crying out to God
There are times when your prayer must just be to have fellowship with God and wait on Him; these prayers are addressed to God. This is the type of prayer whereby we are pouring out your heart to God like water. This is lifting up our hands in prayer, either to petition Him for our own needs, or to pray and intercede for others. These are prayers of petition, supplication, and thanksgiving.
These are prayers addressed to God. Lamentations 2:19 — “Arise, cry out in the night: In the beginning of the watches Pour out thine heart like water Before the face of the Lord: Lift up thy hands toward him for the life Of thy young children, That faint for hunger In the top of every street.“
Speaking to yourself
Beyond bringing your petition to God, there are times when you must speak to yourself. Ephesians 5:18-21 admonishes us not to be “drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; [19] speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; [20] giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; [21] submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.”
Sometimes, you must speak to yourself in prayer. You must pray over you. That is how you get filled with the Holy Ghost. The woman with the issues of blood, said in her heart; the prodigal son said to himself….; you must learn how to prophesy to yourself in prayer.
Speaking to mountains and sycamore
The third type of prayer that you must engage in always is speaking to mountains and sycamore. There are times when your prayer must be decrees and declarations to move mountains and sycamore. Mark 11:22-25 teaches that if we have faith, we will speak to mountains and sycamore.
There are dimensions of prayer that must be directed to the mountains and sycamore in our lives. Mountains standing for massive barriers; and sycamore representing things that grow and have roots. Somethings must be uprooted because they have roots. I pray that as you make decrees tonight, you will see results.
Casting out devils and attacking spirit beings
This is the fourth type of prayer we shall engage in. There are times when your prayer and fasting should focus on casting our devils and dealing with spiritual beings. In the book of Luke 10:17-19, the Lord Jesus gave us authority and power to thread upon serpents and scorpions! This is the time to use that authority. This is the time to cast out devils.
May today mark the beginning of fruitful times of prayer! May you experience the manifestation of the mighty hand of God! Receive answers in prayers!
