1 Thessalonians 5:19 KJV — Quench not the Spirit.
It is so easy to quench the spirit of a prophet or another brother prophesying with your unbelief and poor attitude. You must learn to understand that receiving a prophet with a free spirit is so important.
My message today is simple: Don’t quench the spirit, because
1. It is the spirit that gives life and the letter kills
Without the spirit the content of a prophecy may mean nothing.
2. The spirit of the prophet is subject to that prophet
The prophet needs his Spirit stirred to be able to deliver. That is why prophets of old requests for a minstrel to minister to release the prophetic unction.
3. Every service runs on a spirit
We must keep the service spiritual to be able to buy into the working of the Lord.
May the Lord keep our spirits alive and active to experience Him more. I rebuke any spirit of debate and dullness! May you be awakened to the spirit of faith to receive the ministration of truth.
I will admonish every man and every woman to learn how to stir the spirit. May you never Quench the spirit of a prophet sent to you. May you awaken the spirit among you to be able to flow.
Prayer point
- Father, give me a humble heart to receive Your word that comes to me. Let me be awakened to the spirit of Christ to receive prophecy!
- Father, give my prophet utterance and a greater proportion of faith to prophesy Your word with boldness.
- Stretch forth Your hand and confirm our message with signs following in the name of Jesus Christ!
