Why must we gather to worship

Hebrews 10:23-25 KJV — Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) [24] and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: [25] not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

1. It brings the presence of God to us

Where two or three are gathered in God’s name, he is there. God comes down to fellowship with men when we gather in His name; even if we are just two or three. “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:20 KJV)

2. We are able to mobilise resources for kingdom advancements

When we gather on the first day of the week we take offerings as everyone has set aside as the Lord has blessed them. “Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come” (1 Corinthians 16:2 KJV)

3. We are able to study and strategize on what to do

They gathered to both break bread and study the word. We gather to be instructed and edified to continue in the faith. “And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them. [24] And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:” (Acts 4:23-24 KJV)

4. We provoke one another unto good works

Our gathering together helps us to continue in the faith. Our coming together strengthens our faith and keeps us going together.

Let no man fool by hollow philosophies and ignorant talk. As long as we are able let us gather together. It is a bad habit and irresponsible to forsake the assembling together of ourselves. Assembling together of ourselves is one of the key processes to keep walking by faith and in the Spirit.

Prophetic Prayer and declaration

Let us pray that the Spirit of the Lord shall stir the hearts of the saints to gather in His presence. Pray for travelling mercies for anyone traveling or commuting to fellowship this week.

Pray that every worshipper shall catch the anointing! Pray that every one of us shall experience the power and the wisdom of God. Pray and activate the power of God to heal the sick, liberate the oppressed and empower the saints for prosperity and godliness. Amen
