Philippians 3:13-14 KJV — Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, [14] I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Do this one thing and see your life move from one level to the other. We want to follow the example of Apostle Paul; seeing that in this life things happen to us and that things that happen all work together for our good.
It is mostly true that we are not where we want to be, but we are obviously not where we used to be. Many of us have moved many levels up in life though not as far as we wish to have gone. Apostle Paul in his epistle wrote to the church that he had not arrived, that he had not apprehended but this is one thing he does was to forget what was behind, snd focus on attaining unto the mark of the high calling of God on his life. We want to do the same thing, to see progress in our lives. We want to attain unto the mark of the calling. We want to reach where He called us to be.
The simple steps to advancing towards the mark of the calling is:
- Remember from where you have fallen; trace your steps back, and begin to do the first works again. Don’t let anything tie you down! Start!
- Forget those things which are behind and reach forth for those things which are before. I know things have happened in the past. I know how much you have put in in the past; but hey! If you loved the wrong person this much; don’t you think the right person deserves better. Reach forth towards the things which are before.
- No matter what happens, press towards the mark of the high calling. Push! Press on! Don’t let anything trap you. There is a race we must run, and there are victories to be won.
Receive the power to run the race of time and life. Receive the wisdom to win victories! Don’t let anything hold you back! Press on towards the goal.
