Isaiah 58:1-4 KJV — Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins. [2] Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God.
[3] Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours. [4] Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high.
Supernatural turnaround is the sudden turn of events to help you by the influence of the supernatural realms of life.
Now these sudden turnaround of events, circumstances, and situations to help us, come about in two ways;
- An act of divine sovereignty to draw men into seeking a deeper relationship and fellowship with God. This is when God, out of His own loving kindness, turns things around
- The second is when we seek the face of God to turn things around for our good. This is the scenario of coming to God in prayer and in faith. Daniels sought the Lord for a turnaround for Judah.
We all come to the place of needing such supernatural intervention. We all at some point need a miracle and a turn around; but sometimes these turnarounds seem to delay.
Now tet us discuss five causes of delays in life;
1. Prayerlessness:
James 4:2 teaches that the number one cause of delays in life is not praying. The Bible teaches that many lust and fight and kill but still don’t experience the turn around they seek. This is because they simply don’t ask in prayer. Prayerlessness has delayed many turnaround and breakthroughs from happening.
2. Praying with misplaced priorities:
James 4:3 teaches that the second cause of delays is praying amiss. Some other people pray but with misplaced priorities and wrong motives. They ask to consume upon their lust, hence the delays.
3. Faithlessness and doubt:
The cause of delays to miracles and turnaround is doubt and double mindedness. James 1:5-7 teaches that a double minded person is unstable in all His ways, and that man cannot receive anything from God. I pray that you would pray in faith, doubting nothing.
4. Stiff-neckness:
In Isaiah 58:1-4, the Lord rebuked the nation of Israel for not keeping His word, yet they seek Him as though they were a nation that obeyed their God. We must be willing to obey if we want to see the turn around (See Isaiah 48:17).
5. Lack of steadfastness:
Many give up too soon, and are unable to experience the supernatural turnaround. In Luke 18, the widow who desired justice and vengeance came to thr unjust judge until there was a turnaround.
I pray for grace for you, that you would see a turnaround sooner than later. Keep fighting on in prayer gallantly and see God at work.
