Acts 4:23 KJV — And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.
One of the wisest decisions to make this year is to decide to stay connected to your fireplace. This is the place or company that lifts you up and reinforces you when you hit rock bottom. We all sometimes go through challenging times in life when things seem not to go the way we expected. There are times when all the odds are against you in the pursuit of your God given dreams; this is when you need your own company, the people that have your back.
The text above is talking about a day when the elders of the Jews warned the apostles not to preach in the name of Jesus Christ again. This was after they had healed a crippled man. They were threatened and when they felt threatened but they returned to their own company and they prayed together. Many of us cut off old friends and acquaintances when we meet new people. Many break important relationships just because life is good but remember, there always comes a time when you need a fireplace to recharge. May you stay connected to your fireplace even when you seem to be on top of the world.
Where is your fireplace? Who is your fireplace? Where do you recharge when you get broken and drained. The Bible says two are better than one, when they lie down they keep each other warm. When one falls the other lifts him up. Don’t break ties with the people and places that lift you up when all others were too busy to help you. The Shunamite stayed connected to the prophet that prophesied her son. Don’t make your relationship with people about things and what you can get out of it.
Stay connected!
