The call of Jesus is both personal and purposeful. He does not just call us out of something, but into something greater. Peter and Andrew were ordinary fishermen, but when they responded immediately to Christ’s call, their lives were transformed for eternal impact. Following Jesus means surrendering our nets — our comfort, ambitions, and distractions — so that He can equip us to reach others for His kingdom.

- This call to follow and reach more souls requires swift obedience; Peter and Andrew left their nets without delay; delayed obedience is disobedience.
- When we follow Him, He changes us from self-focused pursuits into soul-winners.
- The mission is greater than ourselves; Our purpose is not just survival, but to partner with Christ in reaching the lost.
Ask yourself: What “nets” do I need to leave behind to fully follow Jesus? Today, decide to respond without hesitation and let Him use you to bring others into His kingdom.
