Leviticus 6:13 (KJV) — “The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.”
Every believer is called to keep the fire of God burning continually. When the fire dies, zeal fades, love grows cold, and power disappears. But when the fire burns again, prayer becomes alive, worship becomes passionate, and souls are drawn to Christ.
The altar of our hearts must not go cold – God is looking for men and women who will keep His fire blazing through consecration, intercession, and obedience.
- Ask the Holy Spirit to rekindle the fire of prayer and devotion upon every altar that has grown cold. Declare that fresh flames of love, passion, and holiness will burn again in every heart. See Romans 12:11; 1 Thessalonians 5:19
- Command every strange fire, worldliness, pride, and distraction, to be consumed by the true fire of the Holy Spirit. Pray that the Church shall be purified and filled with holy zeal once more. See Leviticus 10:1–2; Malachi 3:2–3
- Declare that the fire of revival will spread from one believer to another, from one assembly to another, until cities and nations are ablaze with the glory of God. See Jeremiah 20:9; Acts 8:4–8
- Pray for ministers and workers that the Lord will refresh their spirit and renew their strength, so they will serve with power, boldness, and integrity as carriers of the fire. See 2 Timothy 1:6–7; Isaiah 40:29–31
As we have lifted our voices, let us believe that the fire upon our altars shall not go out, and the glory of the Lord shall fill His house again! See Zechariah 2:5
