Exodus 15:26 (KJV) — “And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.”
After God delivered Israel from Egypt, they faced bitter waters at Marah. The Lord turned the bitterness into sweetness and revealed Himself as Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals.
He then gave them a covenant: obedience would bring divine covering, protection, and healing. What affected Egypt would not be allowed to touch Israel if they listened and obeyed God.
God still honors this covenant today. There are “strange diseases”, afflictions that move mysteriously, resist treatment, and bring fear, but the believer who walks in obedience dwells under divine exemption.
When you diligently listen to God’s voice, align your life with His Word, and follow His instructions, you place yourself under His healing umbrella.
Obedience is not just about doing right; it is about staying protected. God does not only heal, He also prevents. As you walk closely with Him, what destroys others will pass over you.
Prayer
Father, thank You for being Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals me. Give me a heart that listens to Your voice and a spirit that delights in obedience.
I receive divine exemption from every strange disease and affliction. Let Your healing power rest upon me and my household. I declare that sickness shall not have dominion over my life. In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
