Luke 18:1–6 (KJV) – “And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint…“
Fainting does not start physically, it starts spiritually. Before a man collapses in life, he first collapses in prayer.
In this parable, Jesus tells the story of a persistent widow who kept coming to an unjust judge. She had no power, no influence, no connections, yet she had persistence. And her persistence produced results.
The message is clear: when prayer stops, strength drains. When communion with God ceases, discouragement creeps in. Many people faint not because battles are too strong, but because their prayer life has grown weak.
Prayer is not a religious routine; it is spiritual oxygen. When men stop praying, they suffocate spiritually. They lose clarity. They lose courage. They lose endurance.
But
Action:
- Refuse to faint.
- Return to the altar.
- Pray consistently, even when answers delay.
- Pray persistently, even when situations resist.
