Inferring from the theme, every one is seeking to advance and progress in life. We are all seeking for change in levels. Those at fourth grade are seeking to advance to the next level. All of us are seeking for status changes. Your status change must however go beyond the material and social realm.
One of the most important changes we must seek is a change of spiritual environment. Colossians 1:13-14, teaches that God “has delivered us from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of His dear son.” When you change your environment, everything about you begins to change; but there are four evil forces in the world that are fighting and working against every one of us. These are principalities, powers, rulers of darkness, and spiritual wickedness in high places. These are the four fold forces that we must combat and subdue.
God is trying to save us from the kingdom of darkness and to bring us into the kingdom of His dear son. This kingdom of His dear son is the realm where every one us; even the least can be happy, have peace and do what is righteous. This is a realm of “righteousness, peace and joy in the holy Ghost” (Romans 14:17). God wants to bring you to that realm but these four evils forces are working assiduously to keep you in darkness.
These four evil forces are the spiritual influences that control the typical character and behaviour of people in an area, a sub culture, or even race (principalities). We must strive to wean ourselves from the negative influences of evil that operate in our specific culture or city. In another breadth, these powers control people in authority (rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places). These evil forces literally try to bind and afflict their victim. They affect character and behaviour adversely. It’s time to break free and be liberated from these four evil forces.
