“And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” (Mark 8:34 KJV)
You will be disloyal if you don’t have a cross.
In my meditation I asked the Lord, why so many people return from following me so easily? Because you allow them to follow without a cross of their own.
Where is your cross? You are in church shouting and jumping about; where is your cross? Where is the proof that you are ready to die and suffer a little?
The absence of the cross is a recipe for hypocrisy. We must be ready to suffer a little for the sake of our faith. The church has become weak because none wants to suffer even a little.
Read the Scripture again! When the disciples and the people gathered, He said unto them, if any man wants to follow me and come after me and that man does not have a cross, that fellow will not go far. These are the words of Jesus Christ. Without a readiness to die you are fake and should not be trusted.
Many of us are taking the faith cheaply. This is an expensive journey; the fearful will go to hell and perish in the lake of fire. If you fear to die, you will perish.
Sometimes we even open our mouth and talk plenty because you have suffered nothing. If you put in just a little, you will defend the vision with a passion. Where is your cross? You have never carried a cross so you can talk anyhow.
Take up your cross if you mean business. Church take up your cross and follow. By the next 24hrs every one of us should have a cross, ready to die for Christ. The baby-sitting must end! The spoon-feeding must end! We must rise as gallant soldiers.
Where is your cross? Take up your cross, deny yourself, and follow me. See! God is taking us places. It’s time to possess the land. It’s time to rebuke witches and confront Jezebel. Rise up oh men of God.
