If You See Your Brother Sin…

A winning army saves their wounded. In this month of miracles, we shall pray for one another.

If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death.

There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.  All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death (1 John 5:16-17 KJV

We are not ignorant of the device of the enemy. In fact, until we are bold enough to hold up our brethren in the faith, we are setting ourselves up for defeat. A winning army is one that helps their wounded up.

As a matter of fact, those who think about others are investing into their own mercy.

I can tell you from personal experience that the most dangerous moment in your life is not when you meet the devil or a lion. The most dangerous moment is when you see a brother or sister sinning. In such times whatever you do is a seed you have sown into your own life.

Today’s devotional is an exhortation on what you can do when you see a brother sinning. The Bible says you should pray for him. Ask for him; it is the only key that can face the situation. As a church, we must have the culture of asking for our brethren that are caught in the foolishness of sinning.

Sin is a choice just as mercy is also a choice. Prayer and intense intercession is the key to saving our brethren from sin. The text is clear; we would save more people from sin if we learn the secret of asking for mercy for them.

In fact, the Bible says if you see your brother sin; ask for him; how much more if you see your pastor or your father sinning.

Many of us are rather moved by demons to take to social media and radio stations to wash out our own brethren as dirty linens in public. I speak now, that we shall become a generation of praying men to ask for those we see sinning.

Note however the phrase “if you see…” not if you hear or suspect or discern; if you see. The Word of God is not mincing words. God is not endorsing gossip in the Body of Christ.  If you see…

Have you seen your brother sinning? Have you seen it, then pray for him. We want to spend this weekend praying for people we have seen sinning. We want to pray earnestly for them. We want to ask for their deliverance.

Pray for those you have seen sinning; stop the useless gossiping and start praying for them because no child of God in his or her own right senses will continue in sin. Lift up a banner prayer for our brethren in captivity.

It is not our business to judge another man’s servant. So all we can do is to ask for them before their master. Plead with their Lord to keep them standing.

Prayer

Almighty God have mercy on us! Please forgive and deliver us from the destructive power of sin! Redeem us with Your mighty hand! As we become our brother’s keepers, Amen!

I love you! Be blessed!
