We know that the body is dead through sin. We died the day Adam sinned. The Bible says that death reign over all as a result of sin until Jesus Christ came to die for us, and to rise again.
The good news, however, is that if we allow the Spirit of Him that raise Jesus Christ from the dead to abide in us; the same person shall quicken – bring back to life – the body that was dead through trespasses.
[Romans 8:11 KJV] “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”
This is the time! The day that we must allow the Holy Spirit to come and dwell in us. This is the day that the Holy Ghost must have His way in us. We must welcome Him to dwell in us, if we want God to quicken our mortal bodies. He is the active agent by which God can quicken us.
I believe that allowing the Holy Spirit to dwell in you is one of the most intelligent things to do if you want to live the active God-kind of life. There are no two ways about that. He is the Spirit by which the Father can bring back to life the body. He is the healing agent. When He resides in you, He is moved to quicken and heal your body.
I believe you know that divine health is one of the major blessings and rights of the believer. We are called to live and be healthy. The Holy Spirit is that agent that the Father uses to activate our bodies.
How can the Holy Spirit dwell in us?
I want to discuss 5 simple steps to make the Holy Spirit dwell in you:
- Ask Him to come in
- Welcome and make room for Him
- Let Him have His way
- Maintain fellowship and communication with Him
- Please Him always
If evil men will not give stones to their children that ask them for bread; your Father in heaven will give the Holy Spirit to those who ask.
The Holy Spirit will come in if you ask Him to come in. He loves you and wants to dwell in you and with you. He is the great Comforter that our Lord Jesus prayed the Father to send.
He was given to work in us and with us in the stead of Christ. You are just a prayer away. Ask the Holy Spirit to come and dwell in you.
If you are willing and hungry enough, you will be filled. Pray daily and ask him to come and stay in your heart.
The second step to having the Holy Spirit is to make room for Him. There is this song we sing; “Come and make my heart Your home, Come and be everything I want to be, Search me through and through till my heart becomes a home for You!” Beautiful song.
Make room for Him. Prepare Him a place. Prepare Him a place of praise and a throne of thanksgiving. The Holy Spirit wants to stay in a heart of praise and gratitude. Make enough room for Him.
If you want the Holy Spirit to dwell in you, let Him have His way. Do you remember the song “Have Your way, Have Your way… Holy Spirit fill our hearts and have Your way…”
There is a work He is sent to do in your heart and mind; let Him have His way. Free His hands to move and work in you.
Maintain fellowship with Him. The grace of our Lord Jesus, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit must be with us. We must have fellowship with Him through prayer, singing, soaking in the word, and fasting. We must maintain fellowship with Him.
Finally, learn to please Him. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 4:30, not to grieve the Holy Spirit. We are called to please Him. Let Him feel at home.
The Bible tells us that the Spirit that lives in us envies. We cannot serve any other God. We must please Him.
These are the five simple steps to make the Holy Spirit dwell in you to quicken your mortal bodies. These are five of the simple truths that activates the power to quicken your mortal bodies.
Prayer points
Pray that the Lord will prepare you as a sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true. Pray that through thanksgiving, you will be living sanctuary for Him. May the Lord prepare you.
Pray that the Lord will help you lay down your idols and all the gods you have made. May the Lord help us to lay down all our evil cravings and desires and begin to love and hunger for Him.
Pray that the Holy Spirit will come and dwell in you. Let Him know that you are His house. Let Him know that you heart is His home. Tell him “This is Your house, Your home…” Allow Him to come and dwell there!
Pray asking the Holy Spirit to have His way. Tell Him to have His way. Tell Him! Open up and let Him have His way!
Now! Declare that any power fighting you and is not allowing you to rise to the place God has designed for you must fall.
Every satanic power projected against you to cause disgrace and shame must catch fire and die now! Command it to die by fire and by thunder! Command it now!
Decree your victory over sicknesses, demons and anxiety! Exercise that dominion and authority! Take charge and fight fiercely! You must be above and not beneath!
