[Acts 10:1-8 KJV] “There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band, A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.
He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius. And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.
And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter: He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do. And when the angel which spake unto Cornelius was departed, he called two of his household servants, and a devout soldier of them that waited on him continually; And when he had declared all these things unto them, he sent them to Joppa”.
I want to share with you the mystery of how your alms and prayers can trigger a series of reactions that can save your household.
The Bible tells us of a man called Cornelius who gave alms and prayed always; this commanded the attention of Heaven. Listen, your Heavens will open when you learn to give alms and pray always. Your Heavens must open. You must command an open Heaven through the giving of alms and praying always.
The giving and prayer of Cornelius opened Heaven unto him and the church and triggered a series of reactions that led to an outpouring of the Holy Ghost, salvation of his family and household, and a testimony that turned many to Christ.
Many of us are not experiencing open heavens because we neither give nor pray always. Indeed, your prayer and giving are master keys to open heavens. May the Lord help you to abound in this grace also! May you never lack grace to give and pray! Receive great grace!
Your giving and prayer can trigger a series of actions that will save your family. Your life and destiny shall be fulfilled and we can’t joke about it.
