Today I want to exhort you on the need to unpack your bags and start engaging your faith again.
Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? (Isaiah 53:1 KJV)
Many of God’s children have not lost their faith but they are not seeing miracles nor the move of the spirit because they have packed their bags.
Many have come to that place where they are not expecting anymore. They still believe God but they are not engaging their faith anymore.
And indeed, we cannot blame them because the circumstances of their situations suggest that what they expect may not happen for them. Many have packed their bags ready to go home. Many of God’s children have packed their bags; they have packed and resigned from living. Many are waiting for the archangel to sound the final trumpet. In as much as I believe and look forward for the second coming of Christ, I equally believe that men everywhere must benefit from His first coming. The church must arise and engage their faith for maximum impact.
I believe that God is up to something; we can all walk into the miraculous and experienced the great move of God. We cannot pack our bags ready to leave. The church of God can not resign from living the maximum life. There are promises that we must inherit and there is work to be done. If you have packed your bags, then unpack them.
Consider Sarah:
Genesis 12:1-4 teaches us that God appeared to Abraham and promised to make him great and fruitful though he was childless at that time. Abraham was about 75 years old. By Genesis 18:1-15, Sarah and Abraham had waited for 24 years; and Sarah had packed her bags ready to go and be with the Lord; until one day when she heard the report of God’s messengers to the family.
- She heard
- She laughed
- Then she listened
- She meditated
- Now she believed
- She received strength and acted
- Then she received the breakthrough
If only you will hear the word, listen, meditate, believe, receive it and act on it, you will breakthrough the glass ceiling.
Consider Jacob:
He had given up hope of ever seeing Joseph alive on earth. He had been deceived and had given up hope until Genesis 45:25-28, when the same people who had lied to him brought him a different report.
I speak over your life that in this season, your family and loved ones will hear a different report. The same people who said you are dead and finished will go around and testify that you are alive. God will surprise people. Your story is changing. But your story will change if only you can unpack your bags.
Joseph needed to unpack his bags and engage his faith in prison for a change of story. Your will not die in this prison of pain! Your will not die in this prison of sickness! As you spend time hearing and listening to God’s word, He will change your story.
Consider the Shunamite who fed Elijah:
God is not unrighteous to forget your labour of love (Hebrews 6:10 KJV). This woman according to 2 Kings 4:16-17, have packed her bags waiting to leave, but God had a plan. God has a plan for you too, so unpack your bags and start believing.
You will build that business! You will start that church! You will have that family! You will be healed! Your life will come together again! God will reopen your case! Your change of story is coming! You will break through in this season!
Consider Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist:
He had packed his bags. He was ready to leave. He had faith but he had shelved it. He was not expecting any more; but when the world came, he was activated (See Luke 1:5-25).
Beloved, just a word in season, a report at the right time will revive your spirit and change the course of your life.
I pray for you that in this month of listening by faith, you will hear, listen, meditate, believe and engage your faith.
You don’t need a big faith; you need to just use your faith. In fact, even faith as a mustard seed can move mountains. Unpack your bags and start living. God will reopen your case and work miracles in your life.
God bless you
I love you
