”Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” (1 Peter 5:8-9 KJV)
Many believers don’t excel because they are oblivious to the active operation of the demonic around them. The Bible tells us that we have an adversary, the devil. He as a roaring lion walks about seeking who he might devour.
It is his assignment, his habit and his purpose to devour as many as he can. If you allow him, he will devour you completely. You dont have an option; there is no where to escape to; you must stand your grounds and resist him.
As you stand in the battle, fight! Fight to keep and preserve the following;
The fellowship of the brethren:
Romans 16:18 shows us the importance of preserving the fellowship of the brethren. When we learn to flow together, God will crush satan under our feet shortly.
The standards:
You must allow the Holy Spirit to lift up a standard. The four-fold standard; the face of a lion, a man, an eagle, and an ox. You must manifest the boldness and pride of a lion, the parenting, caring, vision and bouncing back spirit of the eagle, the God-likeness and dominion of a man, and the the strength and serviceability of an ox.
Your grounds:
there is a place, a seat, and power and authority given to you that you must fight to keep. You must not lose your grounds. You must fight till you win and keep your grounds.
The steadfastness of your comrades in battle:
You need the brethren to stand firm and win. Be your brothers’ keeper. Fight for your children and brethren. Care about the needs and safety of others.
The sanctity of the faith:
each one of us must contend for the faith. You must arise to fight to keep the purpose of the army. Every army fights in a battle for a reason. We are at war for a reason, never forget that. We should fight to keep our primary purpose primary. Don’t allow anybody to water down the significance of your purpose.
The churches:
the church is the grounds and pillar of truth; we must fight to grow the church as an army. We should fight to preserve the church. Keep fighting and pressing for the church. You must contend for the fellowship as well as the church.
Stay blessed, I love you!
