I believe the Lord wants to raise you as another brother Moses to bring deliverance to your brethren and family. Some of us must redeem our families from poverty, greed, mediocrity, backwardness, and cowardice. You are God’s agent to your family and I believe that you are up to the task if you decide to allow the grace on your life to be nurtured.
[Acts 7:20-30] “In which time Moses was born, and was exceeding fair, and nourished up in his father’s house three months: (21) And when he was cast out, Pharaoh’s daughter took him up, and nourished him for her own son. (22) And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.
(23) And when he was full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel. (24) And seeing one of them suffer wrong, he defended him, and avenged him that was oppressed, and smote the Egyptian: (25) For he supposed his brethren would have understood how that God by his hand would deliver them: but they understood not.
(26) And the next day he shewed himself unto them as they strove, and would have set them at one again, saying, Sirs, ye are brethren; why do ye wrong one to another? (27) But he that did his neighbour wrong thrust him away, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge over us? (28) Wilt thou kill me, as thou diddest the Egyptian yesterday?
(29) Then fled Moses at this saying, and was a stranger in the land of Madian, where he begat two sons. (30) And when forty years were expired, there appeared to him in the wilderness of mount Sina an angel of the Lord in a flame of fire in a bush.
The story of Moses is elaborate and very insightful. Certain things are outstanding and great lessons can be learned from his story. The Bible tells us the following;
Moses was born as a goodly child but with many odds against him:
However, with little resources, he was nourished up in his father’s house, and then by Pharaoh’s daughter. Many beautiful destinies have crushed because there was no father nor Pharaoh’s daughter to nourish it. Sometimes, in life, there comes a time when the right person to offer help lacks the capacity to do so, that is why God connects us to helpers and handlers, but many of us rebel too quickly and kick against the hand that can help to nourish our destinies. That is why many destinies have either crashed or been aborted too early. There are many miscarried destinies because we fight for independence too quickly. In the pursuit of destiny, God will use many hands and people to carry you there.
It is not always about money or food or clothes. Sometimes, it’s about someone guiding you and you submitting to authority. If you hit the road without a shepherd, you will die like a snake. I pray that you will humble yourself under the daughter of Pharaoh, don’t become too arrogant too quickly. Moses was submitted until he turned 40 years, how old are you. Even at forty, he did not rebel but thought of visiting his brethren. Many of us run off too quickly.
Moses learned the wisdom and not the foolishness of Egypt:
Moses learned the wisdom of Egypt; not the culture, not the lifestyle, not the foolishness, not the fad and fashion, not the attitude and perspective; He learned the wisdom of Egypt. What are you learning from Ashongman? What are you learning from HighCity? Who are your example and role model? Are you learning the wisdom of HighCity or the foolishness of HighCity? In every city and culture, there are both good and bad things you can learn. As the next Brother Moses, may you will learn the wisdom and not the foolishness.
Moses was not just mighty in words but also in deeds:
Many destines have derailed and crashed because the people became too puffed up too quickly. Knowledge puffs up, but Moses, though he was learned in all the wisdom of Egypt, he was not puffed up. He was also mighty in works. He brought many results. He was a learned man, eloquent and seasoned in speech, and mighty in works. Look at how many books he wrote. Moses did not speak big swelling words, he was mighty in speech. He was trained in communication, and he knew how to bridge the gap between what he said and what must be done.
Moses fled from people who did not understand or honour his grace:
He thought his brethren will understand him, but they did not. He felt threatened and got away from the drama of fake people.
I believe that you will become a Moses to your family, but you must also understand that as a church, I am your Moses. If you will become another Brother Moses, you may need a daughter of Pharaoh. Please, it is time for us, as a church, to rise against anybody who tries to misrepresent our Moses. Israel could have been delivered earlier if they had risen to beat up the guy who misrepresented the gestures of Moses.
Hmmm! One day, many will regret not understanding the grace God appointed for them. Just because you have decided to be stupid does not mean you should malign and misrepresent the motives of Moses.
Be blessed; I love you!
