[1 Corinthians 3:6-15 KJV] “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.”
“For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building. According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”
“Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.”
“If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.“
I want to prophetically and officially welcome you to the new year. May the Lord bless you, enlarge your coast, may His hand be with you, and keep you from evil. May you see INCREASE in every area of your life! Be blessed.
I want to, however, inform you that;
A new beginning has very little to do with a new year; a new beginning has everything to do with your readiness to yield to the sovereign will of God. The fear of God is the beginning of many things.
The second thing I want you to know is that everything begins with the Word of God; in that regard, it is better for a prophetic word to “cause fear and panic” than not.
- The prophecy of Jonah in Ninevah caused fear and panic, and the people repented and were saved.
- Whereas the people were indifferent to the prophecy of Noah and they all perished
As we step into the year:
- Remember that all the prophet can do is to lay a foundation for you; you have the responsibility to build on the foundation that is laid or otherwise. There is no other foundation any man can lay except that which is laid; except you don’t intend to build the Christ way
- Every man’s work shall be tried with fire; your building must stand the trial of fire if you don’t want to suffer loss. Take heed of how you build upon the foundation I have laid for you. It is your responsibility and not mine. I can’t follow you everywhere, but I have laid a foundation for you.
- Let no man deceive himself; “if anyone among you seems to be wise, let him become a fool.” “The wisdom of the world is foolishness to God”.
Remember to be yielded to the Lord as a potter’s clay in the hands of the Lord. Be yielded: allow God, the gardener, and the word to have their way in you (See Jeremiah 18).
Only God can make or un-make a man. Roman 9:21 teaches that the Potter has power over the clay. Isaiah 45:9 teaches that woe to him that strives with his Maker. In the years ahead of us, learn to be yielded and you will see an increase in every area of your life.
