Hebrews 12:1-2 KJV — “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, [2] looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God“
There are three simple secrets to be steadfast and unmovable in your faith.
Lay aside weight and sin that easily besets you.
No man can run and win with flair and strength carrying excess weight and load; hence the need to lay aside weight and sin that easily besets you. Let us be careful that none be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. Learn to run with patience and faith.
Run the race set before you with patience
Nothing steals the steam out of your sail more than a hasty spirit; it takes a lot of patience to run and finish with steadfastness.
Look into Jesus Christ
Your only example is Jesus Christ; don’t compare yourself with others. When you compare yourself with others, you will not be content with what you have. Learn to run your own race. We are all called to ran in different tracks and in different races. Focus on your journey and don’t slack.
If you really want to be steadfast and unmovable, then you ought to look into Jesus Christ, who is the author and finisher of our faith. The Bible teaches that until we focus our attention on Jesus Christ, we may become weary in our minds.
May the Lord sustain your zeal and faith. May you run with grace and fire. May you not miss the way nor lose zeal. You are God’s champion and the hope of all creation. Run and win; you are somebody’s hope and dream.
Stay blessed!
