[1 Corinthians 15:51-58 NKJV] “Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed;
(52) in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
(53) For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
(54) So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”
(55) “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?”
(56) The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law.
(57) But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
(58) Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord’.
The Bible, in this piece of scripture, is making one point very clear; if we have not taken full advantage of the first coming, we cannot say we are ready for the coming.
The Bible is teaching that there is a mystery we must understand; “we shall not all fall asleep, but we shall all be changed. In a twinkling of an eye, at the shout of an archangel, when the last trump of the trumpet shall sound, the dead shall rise incorruptible; incorruptible shall swallow up the corruptible; this mortal shall put on immortality”. We are assured that that day shall surely come. We know that the day of the Lord, when death shall be swallowed up in victory, is coming.
To really prepare for that day, each of us must be;
- Steadfast
- Unmovable
- Always abounding in the work of the Lord
Because we know that our labour shall not be in vain. We must be steady, unmovable, and always abounding in the work of the Lord. Do more than is required of you, if you know and believe that your labour will not be in vain. Be blessed!
I love you;
