I want to speak to you today on the benefits of submitting to the Lord.
This is the point when you make the Lord your shepherd. This is when you stay as the sheep of His pasture and stay in the fold.
The truth is, if you make the Lord your shepherd indeed, you will not lack anything.
[Psalms 23:1-6 KJV] “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want… “
When you make the Lord your shepherd, you shall not want anything because;
He leads you
He will make you lie down in green pastures and lead you beside the stilled waters. The Lord will not lead you into places that are wolf and foxes infested.
Even when you choose to lie and rest in dangerous places, He will stir the nest and get you out!
“He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.”
He restores you
He will restore your soul and lead you on the paths of righteousness. He restores you when your soul is broken. The real things that hurt your soul are sin and trespass and not even the devil.
The Lord is gracious; when you have strayed and gotten hurt; the Lord will not reject you. He will receive and bind your wounds.
“He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.”
He comforts you
His rod and staff will comfort you, even in the valley of the shadows of death. His rod and staff will comfort you and you will fear no evil.
The Lord shall sustain you in the darkest days of your life. The Lord shall be your comfort and shall sustain you.
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”
He supplies and sustains you
Your cup will run over. You will know sustenance and sufficiency because the Lord will set a table before you even in the presence of your enemies.
He will not just set a table before you, He will anoint your head with oil. The Lord will supply your needs and you will overflow.
“Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over”
Your service and submission to the Lord are not in vain. He will Lead, Restore, Comfort, and Supply till you overflow with goodness and mercy.
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.”
No man that ever submitted to God became a loser. You will not want. He will uphold you with His righteous hand and sustain you.
Stay blessed, I love you!
