Take it or leave it, curses are real and effective. Many destinies have been crushed because of the effect of curses.
[Genesis 9:24-25 KJV] “And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him. And he said, Cursed be Canaan; A servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.”
We want to spend this day fasting, praying, reading, worshipping, and believing God to break every ancestral and bloodline curses. There is no new thing under heaven, anything that has been can be again. Whatever was written was written for our learning. (Romans 15:1-4) The text you just read was written for a good reason. The text is in the Bible for a reason. The Lord added that text to reveal that curses are real and must not be toyed with.
Many years ago, a man called Noah lived and had three sons: Shem, Japheth, and Ham the youngest. This man got drunk and slept naked in his tent but his youngest son dishonoured and mocked him. When he woke up, he cursed the bloodline of Ham, and the effective of the curses is real. Look at what happened:
“Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood. And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtechah: and the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.”
“And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD. And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.”
“Out of that land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah, and Resen between Nineveh and Calah: the same is a great city. And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim, and Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (out of whom came Philistim,) and Caphtorim”
“And Canaan begat Sidon his firstborn, and Heth, and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgasite, and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite, and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite: and afterward were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad.”
“And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as thou comest to Gerar, unto Gaza; as thou goest, unto Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, even unto Lasha. These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their countries, and in their nations. Genesis 10:1, 7-20 KJV
Most of the sons and the cities they built became cursed. Though, they were born as mighty men, most of their works and legacies did not endure. Look at the cities: Egypt, Ethiopia, Libya, Sodom, Gomorrah, Ninevah; just to mention a few.
Listen! Bloodline curses are real and there are many examples in the scriptures but time and space will not allow me to enumerate. Let us arise and plead with God to overturn every curse that may be working against you!
Prayer target
- Father, thank You for the life of fathers; they have done what they could do given the circumstances under which they were born. Bless God for His mercies and grace! Thank God!
- Forgive our trespasses. Forgive our fathers and spare our lives. You have every right to chastise us but Lord forgive. Let not the enemy exact upon us. Purge us of iniquity!
- Break and overturn every curse in my bloodline. Have mercy and deal with every set back. Heal us from sickness and harmful effects of the curse. Spare us and have mercy!
- Subdue principalities and powers before us in the name of Jesus Christ. Deliver us from any wickedness and darkness projected and arranged against any of us. Lead us not into temptation!
- Let none of us make a mistake in dating and marriage. Bless couples with healthy children. Cause our young ones to grow healthily and walk in the paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake!
- Heal our bloodline of strange diseases and conditions. Deliver us from the captivity and oppression of darkness. Heal the bones you have crushed and let us rise again!
- Lead us in the way. Grant us safe passage through 2023. Sustain us with wheat, oil, and milk.
May the Lord forgive and rise us again! May the Lord break and overturn every curse in the bloodline. We rebuke any devils that try to have a say in this matter. In the name of Jesus Christ!
