[Matthew 17:14-15,17-21 KJV] “And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying, [15] Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.”
[17] “Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me. [18] And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour. “
[19] “Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? “
[20] “And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. [21] Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.“
We are committing the next five days to fasting and praying to break evil pattern. We are committed to trusting God to release grace and fire to break any trend, pattern, or chronic condition in our lives that affects our advancement and prosperity.
The story we just read is about a man who’s son had suffered chronic condition for years. The disease had been with him since he was a child, and his father desperately searched for help for him.
We understand that though the father brought him to Jesus’s disciples, his healing depended not just on the pastors but also on the father himself.
Most often than not many of us leave our burdens at the door of the church and go home to sleep. Rather, we must do our part while God does His part.
Breaking evil patterns
The followung are five simple secrets to breaking through difficult situations. With these keys, you can find or forge a way through barriers;
1. Rightly discern the root cause of the trend or pattern:
Most often than not, what we perceive as the cause may have no bearing on the problem all. The man in this story had always thought his son is lunatic, when in fact, he only had a hearing problem.
It’s pathetic how we often blame the wrong causes for the right problem. As we wait on God for these five days, may He give us the courage to discern the true cause and effects in our lives. The Lord Jesus was able to deal with the problem because He could discern the real cause.
Stop blaming witches for you diabetes when you continue to indulge in “gluttony and wine bibbing.“
2. Faith and right action:
The second secret to dealing with evil patterns is to apply the power of faith and the right action. Many people want to break evil patterns, they believe the pattern can be broken, but they are not ready to do what it will take to break the pattern.
Imagine this scenario; your first daughter walked out on God and ended up with a cult; the second daughter walked out on God and ended in the street and hooking up; why should you look on when the third is playing truancy with God. The Lord rebuked them for unbelief and perversion.
3. Fasting and prayer:
This is the third secret; every evil pattern and chronic condition can be broken when we fast and pray. Remember, the Lord Jesus had prepared through fasting and prayer before He got to scene.
I also suggest that you stay ready instead of waiting for an emergency, then rushing to get ready. Let us gather to fast and pray before any need arises. Jesus Christ had been in the mountain, He had been with the Lord. I know you don’t have a problem now but let us gather and pray these five days!
4. Connecting with higher graces and being accountable:
Many are too proud to open up and connect with men with higher graces. In the Book of Luke 11:5-8, the Lord asked rhetorically, if we would not go to a friend at midnight to seek bread if there was a need? Obviously we would.
When we need bread, we will talk to a friend who we know or perceive has the answer to our need. You must connect with others with higher. graces if you need help.
[Luke 11:5-8 KJV] “And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves; [6] For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him?
[7] And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee. [8] I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.
5. Consistency and importunity:
Many of these patterns we want to break have very deep roots in our lives. Hence we need some extra commitment to fully deal with them.
In conclusion, to breakthrough is the find or forge access through a siege or a difficult situation. May the Lord cause us to win over evil patterns! Any evil that chronically attack you shall be broken!
Stay blessed
