[John 10:7-10 KJV] “Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
The Bible teaches that we have a door by whom we can go in and out and find pasture. In fact, the children of God should not struggle but many of us are struggling because of limiting barriers.
Job 29 describes what the life of the righteous should be on earth. He gives a vivid description of our lives but one day something happened and everything changed. Until we learn to break the limiting barriers, our lives will be full of struggle; barely surviving from hand to mouth!
There are four limiting barriers that we must all break
- Spiritual (See 2 Thessalonians 4:13)
- Intellectual
- Systemic (physical, cultural, institutional, and market barriers)
- Personal (SHAPE). Many are limited because they allow what they have been through and have become to get in the way. Naomi preferred to be called Mara because of what she had been through and become.
To break these barriers you have to learn and commit yourself to;
- Invest in fasting and prayer: Certain thing can never come forth except by fasting and prayer. You must be ready to invest in fasting and prayer. Every time you spend in fasting and prayer is an investment to the future of your life and business.
- Give attendance to reading, exhortation, and doctrine: (See 1 Timothy 4:13) What you do not know will keep you from reaching where you ought to be. There is demand on your knowledge. You must study, under-study, and follow.
- Grind lawfully with grits, guts; There are so many things put in the system to cut you from increase and success. You must strive lawfully to sail above all these systemic barriers. Commit yourself to GOALS; Plan-Pray-Publicise and PUSH.
- Rise above what you have been through and become; just have faith and be faithful. Faith and faithfulness are fundamental requirements to breaking barriers. You must believe that God is able and wait for all the days appointed. (See 1 Corinthians 4:1-2)
