Build up Yourself on Your Most Holy Faith

We all face storms and difficult time in the journey of life. We don’t pray for it nor even anticipated it but bad days show up. It is important for every one of us to build ourselves up on our most holy faith.

In today’s devotional, we want to consider how we can build ourselves on our most holy faith.  Faith is our solid foundation, hence the need to build ourselves on our most holy faith. Faith is our anchor that keeps our soul fastened to the rock that cannot move.

This rock is Jesus Christ. Acts 2:42 teaches four simple practices that strengthen our connection to the Rock. “And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers“ (Acts 2:42 KJV)

1. Continuing in doctrine:

The word of God is able to build us up and give us an inheritance among the saints. The word builds us up.

2. Continuing in Prayer:

The Bible tells us that he that prays in an unknown tongue edifies or builds himself up. Prayer builds you up, prayer builds up your faith, prayer is the key to strength.

3. Continuing in fellowship:

Fellowship reinforces and refreshes. Iron sharpens iron and so does the face of one man sharpens his brother (See Proverbs 27:17). In fellowship, we stand by each other and draw strength from each other.

4. Continuing in breaking bread:

The Lord’s table is the table of blessing. As we eat His body and drink His blood, we receive the life of God into our bodies.

These are the four simple routines that can build you up. As you take time to study the word, pray, fellowship, and break bread. May the good Lord bless you.

Today’s Prayer

Dear Lord, Please build me up! May this moment mark the beginning of great change and progress in my life. I am blessed! I receive the grace of God in Jesus’ name, Amen!
