In an economic sense, an investment is the purchase of goods that are not consumed today but are used in the future to create wealth. In finance, an investment is a monetary asset purchased with the idea that the asset will provide income in the future or will later be sold at a higher price for profit.
Your labour of love
One of the first and foremost investment any one of us can make that will yield dividends in old age is our labour of love which we show towards the name of the Lord, by ministering to the saints. God will always remember such things and reward us accordingly. Every one of us must strive to build such spiritual credits by ministering to the saint.
[Hebrews 6:10-12 KJV] “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. (11) And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: (12) That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises”.
Singing or sweeping or cleaning or ushering or interpreting in the church is never a waste of effort and resources. God will handsomely reward everyone of us. You will receive returns on your investments. No energy or dime spent on the kingdom is a waste. They almost always yield dividends. You will receive and never lose your investment.
Your prayer and alms
The second thing that builds lots of spiritual credit for you is praying always and giving alms. The Bible says that, “he that gives to the poor lends to the Lord”.
[Acts 10:1-4 KJV] “There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band, (2) A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway. (3) He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius. (4) And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God”.
As we lift up prayer this month of november; we will be making great investments. You will be purchasing for yourself great investment.
Your communication with your apostle
To communicate with your apostle is to give to support his welfare and missionary work. Those who give to the work of ministry and missions are making a great investments in the realms of the spirit.
[Philippians 4:16-19 KJV] “For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity. (17) Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. (18) But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God. (19) But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
We must all strive to communicate with our apostle. Strive together with your apostle in the work of missions, and heavens will favour you.
It is important for each of us to strive to make these huge spiritual investments. You will need the returns on this investments in a future season. You will never regret making these investments because God is not unrighteous to forget your labour of love, or prayer and alms, or your communication with the missionaries. You will surely receive significant and great returns on these investments.
Nobody ever traded with God and regretted. You will always win and see the profits accrue massively to your account. This is a new day, and I know that each of us will begin to reap gracefully from our sowing. Investing with God is always a high yielding and secure investment.
The Psalmist said, “I was young and now I am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his descendants beg for bread“. You will never beg for bread, as you “seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness“. Matthew 6:33 teaches that “all other things shall be added unto us”.
Be blessed, I love you;

Praise the Lord. What I do here after I get born again has a great spiritual implication. I receive the grace to invest more into the spiritual. Grace to labour in love, pray and give alms, and communicate or give to my apostle’s ministry and his need.
I’m blessed. God bless you, Bishop.
