Can God use a Woman with a Broken Past?

[et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text”][Matthew 1:3,5-6 KJV] “And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram; [5] And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse; [6] And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;”

Sure! In the past God has used women like;

  1. Ruth, a moabites
  2. Rehab, a harlot
  3. Mary Magdalene, a strange woman
  4. Tamar, a seductress
  5. Anna, a poor widow
  6. The woman of samaria, a broken and disappointed woman.

The simple truth is that God can use anybody as long as that person is willing to;

  1. Give all her life and her all
  2. Repentant and forgive herself
  3. Be grateful and give thanks for His mercy and grace

This is what many women are unable to do; and the reason why God is unable to use the to His glory as He wants to. Many of us are not being used by God for His glory because we are unable to give all that we are and all we have to Him. We are unable to forgive ourselves and accept ourselves for who we are.

The simple secret to being used by God is to avail yourself and let go of your past. Don’t let your past tie you down. You must be able to repent and walk away from your past, then God will use you.

The second truth is that many women underestimate their roles in life as women, but immediately we understand that we have a responsibility play in balancing the spiritual ecology, we would do more to be useful.

So, what then are the roles of women?;

1. Mothers, as Bathsheba:

Women have a role to raise the next generation to be kings and priests. Although she was not married to the king, she raised her son, Solomon, to be king in the stead of his father, David.

2. Home keepers, as the Proverbs 31 woman:

Women should learn to be home keepers, to save our households from wastefulness. May the Lord Almighty sustain and give you the wisdom to be a home keeper, Amen!

3. Lovers and wives, as Delilah:

Women offer mighty men laps on which they can fall asleep. As a woman, you are to create a homely environment for the good man to fall asleep.

4. Weaker vessels but heir to the same grace as men:

This is the reason why women must learn to live with discretion and chastity. May the Lord make you discrete and chaste. May you walk as the Lord will have you.

God wants us to serve Him, and if only we can discern our place in life, give Him all that we have and are, repent and let go of the past, and be grateful for His grace and mercy, we will become useful servants in His hands. Be blessed.

I love you!
