1 Corinthians 3:16-17 NLT — Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you? [17] God will destroy anyone who destroys this temple. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.
We want to spend time reflecting on the events of the Holy week. We understand that on the Sunday before the crucifixion; Our Lord Jesus entered Jerusalem on a donkey and the women and children cried out Hosanna. The gospel revealed that on the Monday following, He entered into the temple and drove out those abusing the Holy place of worship.
He drove out those buying and selling; and made a call for prayer. He said “my house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer“. I believe this is the time to revive prayer and cleanse the church. We are the temple of God. All of us together are the temple of God and this is the time to reflect on the health of the church. Let us all commit ourselves to cleanse the church, our assembly.
Let us arise and cast out
Anything that causes division and anarchy:
It is a pleasant thing for brethren to dwell together in unity. I rebuke any spirit or scheme to cause further divisions in the church! I rebuke every power that causes division in the name of Jesus Christ!
Anything that distracts us from praying and helping each other to know God, find freedom, discover purpose, and make a difference!
This is the time to sift the church; to sort out chaff from grain. This is the time to kill anything that is distracting us from the main things. Sometimes, we spend too much time on the minors to the neglect of the major. May God help us to sanitize the church, the assembly and the congregation! May we be bold to reproof the works of darkness, in the name of Jesus Christ!
Anything that dishonours the church and defiles many:
Let us deal with bitterness and grudges. This is the time to forgive one another and dwell together in love; so that the world will know that we are His disciples.
Demons and evil powers; let us cast out creeping things:
Anything that is subtly creeping into the church must be stopped. We must lift up prayer and cast out every devil from our midst in the name of JESUS! Whenever Jesus is in the building, he drives out every evil power. Arise and let us cast out devils from the church! Arise and pray violently! Cast out devils and cleanse the assembly in the name of Jesus Christ! Reflect and cooperate as we deal with creeping things in the name of Jesus Christ!
Today’s Prayer
Pray that the father will revive and stir his church to do self reflection! May the Lord help us to cast out all squatters in the name of Jesus Christ! We decree and declare that every evil power and creeping things shall die in the name of Jesus Christ!
Amen
