“Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. So Abram departed, as the Lord had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.” (Genesis 12:1-4)
Remember the Christian walk may be summarised in three words;
- Following
- Possessing
- Blessing
We are all called to follow God, to possess His promises, and to bless the world around us.
As we follow the Lord we escape hell fire and the things that hurt others as we stay with and in the Lord.
Indeed as we follow we are trans-formed; He makes us into what He wants. He said “follow me and I will make you fishers of men”. When we follow He makes us into…
Possessing the promises which is the key to partaking in the divine nature of God. (2 Peter 1:3-4) You cannot possess the divine nature if you don’t possess the precious promises.
“Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” (2 Peter 1:2-4 KJV)
Blessing the nations around you is the secret to influence. It’s the secret to greatness and impact. People will get more involved in our ministry when we begin to serve and bless our community.
Now the foundation to rising to the occasion; to follow, possess and bless the world is to believe. Faith is the head cornerstone in our Christian walk. When you lose faith, you have lost all it takes. You must believe in;
- God
- His word
- Miracles
- Yourself
When God met Abraham, he needed to believe God, His word, His miracle working ability, and above in himself. You must have faith and press on towards the mark of the high calling. Your faith qualifies you for breakthrough and goodness.
