“So the wall was finished in the twenty and fifth day of the month Elul, in fifty and two days. And it came to pass, that when all our enemies heard thereof, and all the heathen that were about us saw these things, they were much cast down in their own eyes: for they perceived that this work was wrought of our God.” (Nehemiah 6:15-16 KJV)
I believe that in the coming days God will do a work in your life that will make the heathen and the people round about you doubt who they are. The hand of the Lord will exalt you in 52 days. The people who despised and disrespected you shall be the ones to testify that God has blessed you.
The Bible teaches us about how a young man named Nehemiah led a few feeble jews who had been humiliated by war and servitude to rebuild the wall of the city of Jerusalem in 52 days. The Bible tells us that at the end of the day, all the nations and heathens round about them were cast down in their eyes because they perceived that God is the one that worked with them. I see the hand of God coming to help you. The hand of the Lord will take you far and give you results that will exalt His name.
They built and finished in 52 days because of the presence of leadership, teamwork, a mind to work, security consciousness, prayer and devotion to work. “They did not put off their clothes except to bath” (Nehemiah 4:12-23) Indeed God built the walls but the people did not take the grace of God for granted. They worked as a team, with vigilance, devotion, fortitude, and with a builder’s mindset. These Jews attained unto corporate success because they collectively pushed through the odds. They rallied around their leadership and pushed the success forward.
As we begin our journey of Twelve-2-Double or the agenda to double in twelve months, there are certain obstacles and odds we must push against. The Bible tells us that as we begin to push and strive to finish our course, our Sanballats and Tobiahs would begin to;
1. Laugh and misrepresent our motives but you must satisfy all righteousness:
The Bible tells us “But when Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, and Geshem the Arabian, heard it, they laughed us to scorn, and despised us, and said, What is this thing that ye do? will ye rebel against the king?” (Nehemiah 2:19 KJV). They laughed and scorned. Our Sanballats will laugh and scorn but we must exhort one another.
2. Mock and gossip but you must testify:
Nehemiah 4:1-3 teaches that they began to mock and gossip. They said things and mocked; but their mockery can not stop your destiny so long as you continue to run after it with fortitude. It is normal when people mock. Don’t give up, so just keep pressing on. God is on your side. When they start mocking start preparing for war. Immediately they fail at mockery, they will begin to conspire to fight you.
3. Conspire to fight you but you must pray:
Nehemiah 4:8-9 teaches that Sanballat and Tobiah and the Arabians conspired to fight them. When mockery fails, they will begin to get violent and aggressive. When they get aggressive, remember it is time to pray and pray again! Pray and pray again and beware of fatigue.
4. Some of the bearers of burden might get discouraged and speak negatively, but counter quickly:
Nehemiah 3:10-11 teaches that the bearers of burdens began to complain that their strength is decaying and there is much rubbish to gather. Discourage any negative speaking among the workforce. Banish murmuring among the rank and file of the workforce.
5. Some of the brethren might use greed and covetousness to take over other people’s property but leadership must be firm:
Nehemiah 5:1-7 teaches that some of the people would try to make profit off others. Discourage this, and regulate lending and borrowing among the people.
6. False prophecy and demonic dreams but be discerning:
Nehemiah 6:1-14 finally, Sanballat and Tobiah will try to use false prophecies and demonic revelations to control you, but be discerning.
Stay blessed; I love you!
