Matthew 6:9-13 KJV — “After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. [10] Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven”.
[11] “Give us this day our daily bread. [12] And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. [13] And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.“
There are two kinds of prayer; our daily devotional prayer and the prayer of petition or request for specific things. In this devotional, we want to discuss the devotional prayers as taught by the Lord in Matthew. He teaches us to;
- Pray that the name of the Lord will keep us.
- Pray that the presence and influence of the Lord will dwell among us.
- Pray that the will of the Lord will be done in earth! (think boarderless)
- Pray that God will supply all of our needs and sustenance supernaturally
- Pray that God will forgive and restore us even as we forgive others
- Pray that the Lord will lead us in the paths of righteousness and deliverance us from evil
