“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (10) But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
(11) Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, (12) Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? (
13) Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. (14) Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.” (2 Peter 3:9-14 KJV)
We cannot pretend any more because it is clear that the end of all things is at hand. The heavens will roll away like a mat and the earth will melt with fervent heat. We are all waiting for the rapture of the church and the subsequent events that would follow. We cannot pretend any more; we should live each day being aware that soon and very soon, we will be leaving. We would be going home. None should be lost. We must all escape the coming judgement and retribution.
Three simple hints that can help you to survive these very last days are:
Beware that the days are dangerous:
Those who will survive these days are those who are aware and conscious of the truth that the days are dangerous. Indeed the days are dangerous because the people made it dangerous. The people of the days are dangerous and they have made it dangerous. (2 Timothy 3:1-12)
Know the scriptures for yourself:
2 Timothy 3:15-17 teaches us that knowing the scriptures from childhood makes you wise unto salvation through Jesus Christ and thoroughly furnishes you unto good works. Those who don’t know the scriptures are not wise.
Follow your pastor:
Follow the man whose doctrine, manner of life, purpose, core values, and persecutions and afflictions you know.
None shall be lost. The Lord will keep you standing as you engage these truths.
I love you
