[2 Chronicles 7:11-14 KJV] “Thus Solomon finished the house of the Lord , and the king’s house: and all that came into Solomon’s heart to make in the house of the Lord , and in his own house, he prosperously effected. [12] And the Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice. [13] If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; [14] If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land”.
We know that every city has gates, and these gates represent a place of access, a place where the elders of the city pass decrees. Kings sit to observe at the gates, and wisdom and understanding also cries out at the gates. It is important to note that gates may be opened unto you or shut against you! It is therefore my desire that we pray to deal with all contrary gates.
The Bible teaches that one way to deal with gates is to join people called by the name of the Lord, to humble yourself, and pray. As your read this message, the Lord is getting ready to move into action, if you are ready to pray.
Prayer 1:
In Ezekiel 22:30-31, we know that God is seeking men who will stand in the gap and make the hedge, that He may spare the land.
[Ezekiel 22:30-31 KJV] “And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. [31] Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord God”.
I pray that we will be the men in the gap.
(Say with me:) “My Father in Heaven! By the blood and by water, raise us as an army of praying saints! Pour upon us the spirit of prayer that we may stand in the gap”. (Pray aloud!)
Prayer 2:
In Acts 13:6-11, we learn that apostle Paul by spirit and insight rebuked a wizard opposing his work.
(Say with me:) “My Father in Heaven! By the Spirit and by Your hand, I rebuke any strange personality opposing and fighting my breakthrough and advancement in ministry! My work in ministry shall not be hindered any more! (#Pray Aloud!)
Prayer 3:
The Bible tells us that Paul and Silas shook the foundations and gates of a prison by praise and prayer. (See Acts 16:23-28)
(Say with me) “My Father in Heaven! By the force of praise and pray, I command every prison gates holding me bound to shake lose. I am coming out clean and free! You prison gates, you are giving way, and must give way now! (#Pray aloud!)
Prayer 4:
The Bible tells us in Isaiah 54:17, that no weapon formed against you shall prosper; any tongue that shall rise against you, you shall condemn.
[Isaiah 54:17 KJV] “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord , and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord” .
(Say with me) “My Father in Heaven, I condemn any tongue that is risen against me. I shatter every weapon formed against me. I speak against weapons and tongues now! (#Pray Aloud!)
Prayer 5:
In Isaiah 45, the Lord assured Israel that He will anoint Cyrus to open the two leafed gates, to discover the hidden treasures of darkness.
[Isaiah 45:1 KJV] “Thus saith the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;”
(Say with me) “Any gates restricting my movement and advancement to prosperity and success. Any gates holding my breakthrough and blessing must open to give me access now! (#Pray Aloud!)
I believe with all my heart, that this year, God will graciously answer our prayers. We shall not fail; God being our helper!
