One fact is clear; if we can demolish demonic strongholds, we must understand their typical characteristics and natures. The enemy we are facing does not operate in vacuum; we must understand his system of operation and how to deal with it.
Facts to remember
The devil who is the master of all these demonic spirits;
1. Is always on the offensive.
He is never on the defensive. We can only win the battle against him when we assume an offensive warfare posture. Even our armour reveal that God wants us to be on the offensive; that is why nothing covers your back.
2. Covers the whole scope and regions of operation.
Nowhere is far for the devil. He told God that he has been moving to and fro in the earth. Where as the church think that some places are far to reach, the enemy is combing the whole earth. He leaves no stone unturned.
3. Uses both aggressive and subtle weapon and tactics in the warfare.
His military intelligence is sharp. He is smart and we should never underestimate his wisdom and might.
4. Is always seeking an opportunity to enter and wreck havoc.
He is hardworking and ferocious. He is very aggressive and active. He is a beast!
Steps to demolish his strongholds
The simple steps to demolish his strongholds are:
1. Acknowledge that you have authority to thread upon serpents and scorpions and over every power of the enemy.
There is no weapon or power that can escape your authority and power. Luke 10:17
2. Sanitize your thoughts, imagination, knowledge, and things you consider as high things.
2Corinthians 10:3-4
3. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might
Ephesians 6:10
4. Put on the whole armour of God
Ephesians 6:12-14
5. Take a stand to withstand
6. Pray, intercede, watch, supplicate and give thanks with perseverance and longsuffering for all the saints and ministers.
7. Speak the word; reproof the unfruitful works of darkness.
This is because we can punish all forms of disobedience when our obedience is complete.
8. Fast and believe
Somethings will not come forth, except by fasting and prayer
