Psalms 34:12-14 NLT — Does anyone want to live a life that is long and prosperous? [13] Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies! [14] Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it.
If you want a long prosperous life, then do these 3 things;
- Keep your tongue from speaking evil
- Keep your lips from telling lies
- Turn away from evil and do good
- Seek peace and work to maintain it
It’s important to understand that your words are forerunners into your future and they carry the power to create. Most of the things you see were created by the invisible power of words. If you desire a long prosperous life, then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies. I know that there are times when you really feel like venting your frustration but turn it to prayer. Prayer will yield better results! Don’t be forced to speak of the evil you see around you. Speak of the promises of God. Assure your soul of his promises, besides that no matter what, tell the truth.
You will do yourself a great favour by walking in the paths of righteousness. There is nothing comforting and soothing as a pure and clear consequence. Turn away from evil, do good and prolong your life. I pray that God will give you grace and help you to continue in the paths of righteousness!
Finally, learn to avoid being drawn into useless drama. Learn to maintain peace at all costs. Don’t inherit people’s trouble and fights; let’s work hard to maintain peace. You have no control over how people act; but you do over how you react. May the peace of God that surpasses all understanding keep your hearts and minds in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. When people try to provoke you to wrath, kindly step back, walk away, and brush off their trouble.
Stay blessed
Today’s Prayer
May the Lord give you the grace to bridle your tongue and avoid useless drama. I pray that you will receive grace to walk above all pettiness of others. May you rule over your own spirit and see a long prosperous life!
Amen
