Missions is the efforts and processes that lead to spreading the testimony, faith, and gospel of Christ is not named.

[Acts 13:1‭-‬5 KJV] “Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them”.

“And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away. So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus. And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to their minister.”

Why Missions

We do missions because of the following reasons

  1. Our Lord Jesus Christ commanded it (Matthews 28:18-20)
  2. God will save the world by the foolishness of preaching (1Cor 1:18-22)
  3. If we don’t go, nobody might go.

This is the time when the church of God must arise and preach the world. Many are following and honoring God only with their lips; their hearts are far from Him. Many worship God with their lips and not hearts. Many are just going through the gimmicks and the drama.

Church! This is the time to arise and preach the word. This is the time to discern the times and seasons. This is the time to walk in the newness of life. This is when the nations after us must hear to be saved and healed. The preaching of the gospel is the power of God to save and liberate nations. This is the time and now is the season. Arise and come with me. Prepare to travel to cities, find meeting places, and hold meetings.

How do we start a mission?;

  1. Pray and raise funds for the missions
  2. Develop a solid brand
  3. Get a good marketing, funding, and promotion strategy
  4. Plan and travel to the cities
  5. Preach the gospel when you get there
  6. Gather and teach those who believe
  7. Appoint and ordain others to help you.

These are the simple steps to doing missions. Missions is our collective effort to spread the message to other lands. You will not miss the way, the Lord will help you to reach others with the gospel. The Lord will help us to reach the unreached. This is only the beginning, by the time this year goes to a close you will begin to see how far God is taking us to reach others.

Be blessed; I love you!
