It’s not enough to believe but to make choices and live to re-present Christ to the world around you!
Acts 2:40 (KJV) — “And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.”
Every generation has its own pressure, pressure to blend in, to lower standards, and to accept what God calls wrong as normal. Peter stood before the people and gave a clear warning: don’t drift with the crowd. Salvation is not only about believing in Christ; it is also about breaking away from a corrupt pattern of living.
An “untoward generation” is one that resists God’s truth, celebrates sin, and mocks righteousness. God calls His people to be different, not proud, not hateful, but holy. When we refuse to conform, we become living witnesses of God’s light in a dark world. Our values, choices, and lifestyle should point others to Christ.
Action
Examine your life today. Where have you quietly adjusted to fit in with the world? Ask God for the courage to stand firm in faith, truth, and holiness. Choose daily to live by God’s Word, even when it is unpopular, and let your life boldly reflect Christ in this generation.
