Zechariah 4:8-10 KJV — Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, [9] The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you.
[10] For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.
The story of Christmas reminds us of how oaks come from acorns. In fact, the only thing that starts from the top is a digging a grave. Every great and mighty building or plant starts from the ground up. Those who despise the days of small beginnings despise their own glorious future.
Remember, even the Lord was born in a manger but was received into glory. It is mostly not so much as how you start; it is about how you finish. The ending matters more than the beginning. May today remind you of the glorious future. God has plans for us, they are plans of good and not evil, to bring each of us to an expected end. You shall not fail. God will perfect that which concerns you.
We know that God is working even when we don’t see Him working. The end shall be glorious and beautiful! You will not fail! You will excel and overcome. The Lord will never leave nor forsake you. You will see His hand at work and you will never fail; just honour the small beginnings of promising visions.
Stay blessed!
