Without doubt, I can tell you that the greatest virtues of the Christian faith are righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. These are the signs that you have the kingdom of God in you. Those who have the kingdom of God walk in righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. These are the virtues we must fight to possess.
The truth, however, remains that your ability to cultivate these virtues are fought by your lack of understanding of the word of faith, your lack of depths in the things of God, lust, anxiety, cares, the pride of life, and the deceptiveness of riches. Many of us are unable to walk in righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost when we come under pressure.
The simple secret to escaping the effects of the things that try to trouble your heart and mind is to stay instant in prayer. Philippians 4:6 teaches us to be anxious for nothing. The truth is, in all things by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, we should let our requests be made known unto God. The Bible says “then shall the peace of God that surpasses all understanding keep and garrison your hearts and minds.”
If you don’t learn to pray always, your concerns will cripple you. The truth is we all have one or two things that are of concern to us and sometimes try to steal our righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
We all have things that threaten our faith and hope and make us feel like ‘helping ourselves.’ We all have this thing that we are hoping to find freedom from. The only secret to keep soaring and not to be tied down is to continue in prayer.
I don’t know what you may be going through at this moment, but I know you can soar above every storm and wind of life if you learn to pray and pray fervently and in faith.
And take note of the following, they make prayer effective;
- Being thankful and showing gratitude
- Praise
- Fasting
- Watching
- Believing
- Fervency
- Honesty and effectiveness
- Forgiving
I must also add that after praying and fasting, watching and praying, praising and praying, praying and believing, praying and forgiving and being fervent, we should arise and work. Work smart!
When David inquired of the Lord whether he should pursue and whether he would overtake; the Lord told him to pursue and overtake and recover. He was to get up and act in faith and obedience. God had spoken to him and he was to arise and work. You must add works to faith and prayer and everything shall be well.
Stay blessed, I love you!
