Matthew 25:24-30 KJV — “Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: [25] and I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. [26] His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:”
[27] “thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. [28] Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. [29] For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. [30] And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.“
This is the story of a man who received talents or capital from his master, but got trapped because of his fears and anxiety. A man was travelling and gave talents to his servants to occupy till he came. All but one did nothing with the talent. He could not do anything because of fear.
As the saying goes cowards die many times, before their death. This is the time to arise and shake off your fear. Don’t let what you fear stop you from doing what you have to do.
You are more than able through Christ who strengthens you. You can do it if you put your mind to it. You can rise above the odd and achieve your dreams. This is the day and hour is the hour. Sit down and count the cost, plan the way forward, prepare and arise to chase your dreams. Don’t let anything hold you back. God is on your side to help you.
Let us start from where we are with what we have. Borrow vessels and recruit those around you. Focus your mind on God and chase your dreams. Continue steadfastly in fellowship and be coached. Let nothing hold you down. Break the chains and advance!
