Mark 16:17 (KJV) — “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;”
Exhortation:
Jesus did not give suggestions – He gave authority. In Mark 16:17, He clearly states that casting out devils is not reserved for a special class of believers but is a sign that follows all who believe.
Tolerating demonic influence, whether in thoughts, habits, atmospheres, or situations, is a denial of the authority Christ has already placed in you.
Demons thrive where believers are passive, silent, or ignorant of their spiritual position. But when you understand that the name of Jesus carries absolute dominion, fear loses its grip.
You are not called to negotiate with darkness or coexist with oppression. You are empowered to confront it and cast it out.
Speaking in new tongues and casting out devils both point to a Spirit-filled life, one that is sensitive, bold, and submitted to the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit is in charge, darkness cannot stay.
Refuse to normalize what Jesus died to destroy. Stand firm, speak up, and exercise your authority. Don’t tolerate demons, expel them in Jesus’ name.
Prayer Point:
Father, I thank You for the authority I have in the name of Jesus. I receive boldness and spiritual discernment to resist and cast out every work of darkness in my life and environment. By the power of the Holy Ghost, I refuse to tolerate demonic influence in any form. I walk in victory, authority, and freedom, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
