[Genesis 2:24 KJV] “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh”.
In all forms of relationships, three things matter;
- Intelligence
- Emotion
- Attitude
The real value of a person in every relationship is the sum of value in his or her intelligence quotient, emotional quotient, and attitudinal quotient. These three things matter so much.
In 1 Samuel 25:3-5, we learn about a woman full of wisdom and understanding with beautiful face but was married to a rich, foolish and arrogant man – Abigail. This beautiful, intelligent and beautiful faced woman married a rich, arrogant fool called Nabal.
Abigail was a great woman but marriage to a great fool began to work against the joy and excitement of the home. When you get married to a suitor who is intelligent, emotionally and attitudinally matured, you are more likely to enjoy the marriage. These are the main factors that affect the strength and fire of the marriage.
You will be hired because of your intelligence but you will make it because of your attitude and emotions. There is perhaps no greater handicap than to have immatured emotions and childish attitudes. Every child of God who wants to go far must be willing to put away childish things as they age.
You can think, understand, and even speak as a child when you are a child but when you become a man, you must do manly things. May the Lord help us to put away childish things! May you embrace manly things! May today mark the beginning of maturity. You are marked for success.
I love you
Noah
