We already understand one of the key components of missions is the missionary. They are the agents of change and the inspirers of faith. It is important to inform you that the work of a missionary is so uncertain and undefined. The work of a missionary can be challenging but the only thing you can do is to endure the hardness.
[2 Timothy 2:3 KJV] “Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ“
Remember that the Bible did not say ‘hardship’, but ‘hardness’. If you want to work as a missionary, you must be determined to endure. The hard times will come, and you must endure. We must all brace our minds and be ready to endure.
So I want to exhort you on how to handle tough times as a missionary. You must endure hardness. When the going gets tough, take it with courage. Endure the hardness; you may fail sometimes! You may not fail too, but you shall surely win! So whether you fail or win, the Lord is still with you.
Many have gone ahead of us and they have won their battle. You will not fail. God will not disappoint you. You will win! He is with us. Don’t complain. Stand tall and fight the good fight of faith. There are times when you will feel like giving up, but don’t! Just stand firm. People may hurt you but love them back. Don’t begrudge anyone! Just live and forgive and watch how God will bring you out.
I love you, stay blessed.
