[1 Timothy 2:1-4 NLT] “I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.”
There is nothing that would awaken a silent and sleeping giant as prayer would. Apostle Paul said, “let everything start with prayer.” This is the time to arise and begin to pray if we can see a revival take place. We must arise and intercede for the world. We must ask God to help her.
Our earth is asleep; both the habitat and inhabitants are asleep and slumbering. This is the time to arise and awaken her with prayer. God wants to save her and I have no doubt that the simplest thing we can do to save her is to intercede for this sleeping giant.
If we can really intercede and achieve more through intercession then;
- We must admit that in this life everything rises and fall with prayer. We can never win if we ignore God and prayer.
- We must be moved by a feeling of concern for the rest of humanity
- We must understand that whatever happened in and to one part of the earth affects each of us too.
- We must be persuaded that those who pray receive greater and deeper revelation.
- We must admit that it’s either we pray or faint.
- We must ask in faith. A man that doubts God’s faithfulness can never receive anything from God. We must ask in faith. (See James 1:6)
- Ask whatever you wish; it is better to ask amiss than not asking at all. Whatever you desire, ask! (See Mark 11:23-25)
- Don’t bear grudge nor pray with wrath. Pray in love. When you stand in prayer forgive others as you have been forgiven.
- Don’t pray to be heard on high or to strike with a fist of rage. Ask to appeal to God and not to a man.
- Pray Until Something Happens. Don’t stop until something happens. Something always happens!
This is how the revival will begin. This is how the change will come. We are the people that will ignite the fire of revival.
Stay blessed
